The John Deere 850L dozer includes a larger displacement engine, increased operating weight, new operator station, and several improvements to maximize reliability and durability. The machine, operating at 225-hp, incorporates an EPA Final Tier 4 John Deere PSS 9.0L diesel engine. The 850L features a dual-path hydrostatic transmission, as well as an Eco mode feature and auto-idle an idle shutdown. Its Power Angle Tilt blade is 172 in., and all 850L configurations utilize an eight-roller design with 130-in. of track on ground.
